BACKPACKS FOR KIDS
|
|
The Back Pack For Kids Program helps nourish "chronically hungry" children while away from school. The children are identified by a teacher or counselor, and parents are asked permission for their child to participate. Good Samaritan is working with Northwest Elementary in this pilot program. Currently, 48 children are signed up to participate.
The back pack supplies 60% of a child's weekend nutrition. Friendly shelf-staple food is supplied. The backpacks are discreetly distributed to children on Friday afternoons or before holiday vacations. There is no cost to the children or the school for this service.
For as little as $5 you can provide 1 child with food for the weekend.

Have you renewed your support of Good Samaritan through Kroger’s Neighbor to Neighbor Donation Program? The new Kroger Neighbor to Neighbor Donation Program year began July 1, 2009 and will end April 30, 2010.
Since all of us shop for food and household items, this is an easy way to support Good Samaritan Ministries without any extra effort!
The Kroger Neighbor to Neighbor Donation system allows for only one charitable organization to be chosen per household. We hope you choose Good Samaritan Ministries.
Contact Good Samaritan for more information about participating in this easy and important program.
