By the end of May 2011, just more than 100 students on 9 campuses participated in the Food for Thought program. Students have to be referred to the program through faculty or staff at the school they attend. |

The child poverty rate in Brown County is 27 percent. That's higher than the state average of 23 percent. |

Food for Thought is serving children on these campuses:
Bangs: J. B. Stephens Elementary, Bangs Middle School Brownwood: Brownwood Intermediate, Coggin Elementary, East Elementary, Northwest Elementary and Woodland Heights Elementary
CTO Headstart: two campuses
Early: Early Primary, Early Elementary
May: May Elementary School |
